Baptist is Best! The Baptist Health System, a division of Tenet, is the in-network hospital system for QPIC. Baptist has hospitals and free standing Emergency Rooms conveniently located in our service area.
Emergency Rooms (ERs) should only be used for a life-threatening condition when a person is in imminent danger of loss of life or limb. Conditions include:
- Chest Pain
- Series Head/Eye Injuries
- Babies Needing Immediate Care
- Heart Attack Symptoms
- Drug Overdose/Poisoning
- Severe Abdominal Pain
- Severe Burns
- Stroke Symptoms
- Difficulty Breathing
- High Fevers
- Vomiting/Coughing Up Blood
- Suicidal/Homicidal Thoughts
Any major injury to an arm or leg should also result in a trip to the ER. If you are in a major car accident, you should also go to the ER to be evaluated.
